This is a cassette tape pressing of We by Arcade Fire, with the description noting a green cassette variant. Recorded in multiple locales including New Orleans and El Paso, the album is a concise 40-minute epic that the band’s Win Butler described as the product of “the longest we’ve ever spent writing, uninterrupted, probably ever.” The album’s cathartic journey follows a definable arc from darkness into light across seven songs divided into two distinct parts: Side ‘I’ channels the fear and loneliness of isolation, while Side ‘WE’ expresses the joy and power of reconnection. The cover features a photograph of a human eye by the artist JR, which evokes the image of Sagittarius A*, the supermassive black hole at the center of the galaxy.
