This double vinyl LP pressing of Kali Malone’s breakthrough album, The Sacrificial Code, features her acclaimed pipe organ compositions, temporally informed studies of harmonics and intonation that create a moving and stilling experience. This 2025 edition, mastered by Rashad Becker, includes a new track, “Sacrificial Code III.” Praised by Pitchfork for its time-stretching and clean minimalism, and described by Resident Advisor as an exercise in concentration, restraint, and focus, Tiny Mix Tapes emphasized the album’s intensity and intimacy, highlighting Malone’s close miking technique that brings out every textural detail for a highly focused and immersive listen.
