The Snark ST-8HPT Super Tight Tuner is a clip-on chromatic tuner from Snark, the brand that made headstock tuners the standard on stages everywhere. It clips on, reads string vibration directly, and stays accurate in loud rooms where microphone tuners fail.

Who Is the ST-8HPT Super Tight Tuner For?

Every player needs one, and most players who try a Snark keep a second in the case pocket. If you play out at all, the rechargeable models pay for themselves in saved batteries.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does it work for bass and other instruments?
Yes. It tunes by vibration, so it works with guitar, bass, ukulele, banjo, and most stringed instruments.

Is it rechargeable?
Check the model name. Snark’s current rechargeable models charge over USB and skip button batteries entirely.

Will it work on a loud stage?
Yes. Vibration sensing ignores room noise completely, which is exactly why clip-ons replaced mic-based tuners live.
