“A cordial introduction for the budding guitarist.” There is a lot to be said for a funny instructional book. Especially by a teacher who apparently has ESP when it comes to learning the guitar. He does an excellent job; covering what you DON’T need to worry about yet as well as the basics. Most basic, to him, is a focus on chords, arguably the single most important function of the guitar. He covers tuning, fingerpicking, strumming and capos also. Things are broken down into such sensible pieces that you’ll wonder why everyone doesn’t teach this way. Companion sound clips available online. Recommended! Spiralbound, 84 pp.
