Book/3-CD set. This set of lessons for the intermediate/advanced guitarist teaches four ever-popular rags with three different teachers, each with his own approach. LESSON ONE: The classic rag that started the “ragtime revival” was The “Entertainer,” a lyrical four part rag written by Scott Joplin. Taught by Stefan Grossman. LESSON TWO: One of Joplin’s most popular classic rags was “Maple Leaf Rag.” Baker teaches his arrangement to this highly syncopated and energetic classic rag. Grossman also teaches “Silver Swan.” The last lesson is James Scott’s “Hilarity Rag,” a four part classic rag taught by Wijnkamp. Note/tab. 32 pp.
