This vinyl LP pressing of Iggy Pop’s Aprs presents a surprising yet compelling facet of the iconic artist, known for his raw energy and godfatherly role in alternative music; here, driven purely by artistic aspiration, Pop delves into a collection of French-influenced covers like “La vie en rose” and “Et si tu n’existais pas,” alongside classics like “Everybody’s Talking” and “Michelle,” revealing a beautiful and deep voice that stirs the emotions and reinterprets these songs with his own distinctive dimension, proving that his artistry extends far beyond the expected roaring guitars and howling gunpowder.
