This is a vinyl LP pressing of My Favorite Things by John Coltrane. This classic 1961 Atlantic album receives the Rhino Reserve treatment and marks Coltranes first recorded use of the soprano saxophone, an instrument he would continue to play extensively throughout the rest of his career. The modal exploration of the title track became one of his signature performances, returning frequently in his live sets and helping define a new direction in modern jazz.
